Why we started
Carmel Ascent was born out of a personal experience. Our founder watched her own grandmother struggle with isolation after her husband passed — not because she needed medical care, but because she needed someone to be there. A neighbor. A friend. Someone who would show up.
That experience revealed a gap in the care landscape: families needed non-clinical support that felt human, not institutional. Support that honored the dignity and independence of their loved ones while giving families the peace of mind they deserved.
Today, Carmel Ascent serves families across the Southeast with that same spirit — matching seniors with care partners who genuinely care, and building relationships that last.
